[1] The name was compared to Lazarus, M. Baigent, R. Leigh & H. Lincoln, The holy blood and the holy Grail, London, 1996 (1982): 315. The account of Baigent, Leigh and Lincoln seems confused, as they have Anfortas as son of Frimutel, the son of Titurel, the descendant of Laziliez, the son of Mazadan and Terdelaschoye, which seems to be the reverse order.

[2] Mazadan is also listed as Arthur's greatgrandfather, see http://celt.net/Celtic/celtopedia/p.html. His name may be related to Ahura Mazda or to Masada, see M. Baigent, R. Leigh & H. Lincoln, The holy blood and the holy Grail, London, 1996 (1982): 315
